※ Stored in a sealed can indoors, the storage temperature is 15 ~ 40 °C. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, rain or excessive temperatures.

※ Ensure that the storage temperature is not lower than 15 °C (special attention should be paid in winter or when the ambient temperature is equal to or lower than 10 °C).

※ Excessive bumping vibration during transportation and storage under certain conditions may result in partial separation of aluminum and solvent components. Therefore, high-speed stirring should not be avoided during use to avoid damaging the shape of the silver sheet.

As a kind of metallic pigment, aluminum silver paste can make the coating produce special effects different from other common pigments. It is briefly explained in some tips of the process.

1. In order to achieve satisfactory special effects, the aluminum silver paste must be completely dispersed in the coating system, the coating should be in a uniform state, no fine particles appear. The aluminum scales are easy to bend and break, and if the high speed mixing is carried out during the paint production process or Other continuous and severe processing, its geometry is easily destroyed, resulting in coarse particles, dark color, reduced coverage, and metal migration and other undesirable phenomena. Therefore, high shear force dispersion should not be used.

Recommendation: Use pre-dispersion method: first select the appropriate solvent or a mixture of several solvents, add the solvent to the aluminum silver paste in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of aluminum silver paste to solvent, and slowly stir until uniform ( About 10-20 minutes). Add the base material to the system. In general production, the aluminum silver paste is pre-soaked with solvent for 30 minutes and then slowly stirred.

2, the dilution choice of aluminum silver paste is mainly determined by the paint determined by the formula. Non-floating aluminum silver paste can be widely used in polar and non-polar solvents, such as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons, lipids (such as butyl acetate) ), ketones (such as methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone), alcohols (such as ethanol).

3. Chlorinated solvents (halogenated...) are not suitable for use in any aluminum silver paste pigment. Chlorinated solvents will release HCL and chemically react with fine aluminum pigments.

4, many commonly used coating base materials such as oil varnish base, acrylic acid, alkyd, cyclohexyl ester and waterborne base, can be applied to non-floating aluminum silver paste pigment. In general, any coating base Or the solvent is suitable as long as it is compatible with the solvent carrier of the aluminum silver paste, and does not cause chemical damage to the aluminum silver paste.

Special attention: aluminum is a kind of active metal, the acid price of the paint should be controlled below 7.

5. When a coating system containing aluminum silver paste needs to be added with a metal drier, for non-floating aluminum paste, only a drier that does not react with the fatty acid on the surface of the aluminum flake can be used. Use drill, zirconium, manganese drier.

6, the proportion of addition:

Aluminium silver paste with colored primer is added in a ratio of 1% to 4%

7. When the surface of the coating film is oriented in parallel, the best effect is achieved. The parallel orientation difference will lead to turbidity or diffuse reflection. The orientation of the flake pigment is related to the formulation and construction conditions. The evaporation of the solvent causes the shrinkage of the wet coating film, and finally will The aluminum pigment is pressed into a horizontally oriented position. The higher the solvent content of the coating, the stronger the effect. This explains the orientation of the flake pigment. Therefore, the optical properties of the low solids coating are more than those of the high solids coating. it is good. 

The volatilization of the solvent causes a strong eddy current inside the wet film, but if the solvent evaporates too slowly, a so-called narnt vortex is formed, which hinders the parallel orientation of the aluminum pigment (which causes turbidity).

Resins can be used to promote solvent volatilization (such as cellulose butyrate CAB), and some additives are used. They can fix flake pigments. It has been reported in the literature that wax dispersions can have "spacement" and surfactants have similar functions. Test its function before use.

Note: The optical properties of relatively low solids coatings over a range are better than those of relatively high solids coatings.
